Introduction to LEGO Robotics at Lenox Library

This introductory robotics program will provide students with STEM focused activities designed to teach them to think critically and solve complex problems, regardless of learning level. LEGO SPIKE Prime combines colorful LEGO building elements, easy-to-use hardware, and an intuitive drag-and-drop coding language based on Scratch.

This course is open to students in 4th-6th grade and registration is limited. Students should attend all 5 sessions.

Instructor: Erin Laundry
Instructor Bio: Erin Laundry is the owner of Bottomless Bricks and former contestant on the hit TV show "LEGO Masters". She is excited to bring this fun and engaging educational experience to local students in the community!

Qualifications include:
  • -Completed the Teacher Certification course for "Coding and Computational Thinking for LEGO SPIKE Prime" through Carnegie Mellon's Robotics Academy (2021)
  • -Completed LEGO Education's Professional Development Competency Training including Pedagogy, Classroom Management, 21st Century Skills, and STEAM Concepts
  • -Contestant on the TV show LEGO Masters (Season 3)
  • -Worked as a private music instructor for children and adults with learning differences
